History / Philosophy

Early discovery

Assalamualaikum wr. wb.

Praise robbil 'alamiin, approximately in January 2007 my son asked for a rod dipetikkan papaya. Because I'm waiting for a child who was playing, it occurred inadvertently in my mind whether the papaya stems can be made "creation". In that time I tried to cut the papaya stem side, and I went on and on into a calligraphic phrase of unity (La ilaha illallah). After so calligraphy, I immediately inspired to use the bamboo, because the shape of bamboo rod-like with papaya, and bamboo is one of the many plants found in Indonesia.

Bamboo is also a basic ingredient that is widely used by other makers, because it has high artistic value, easily available and relatively cheap price. For that I want to craft a bamboo-based has become an art of calligraphy that has high artistic value and unique.

This calligraphy is a way of making calligraphy combines various forms of bamboo arch with various sizes of cut side / sharp, resulting in a unique calligraphy with curved shapes and pointy and looks artistic.

For that I give this calligraphy name with the title:

"Calligraphy of stakes" - AL MUSTAMIL

The word "stake" because I used a sharp piece of weapon used to resemble Indonesian fighters in expelling the invaders, while these weapons are rarely used, because in Indonesia have more sophisticated weapons. Currently the community is experiencing a moral crisis, so I introduced a work of art that is religinya element, point to combat the world desires. Meanwhile, "Al Mustamil" itself is taken from my name. My interest with this bamboo calligraphy because in every manufacturing requires precision, patience, patience and artistry, so that the resulting work was artistic, natural and that makes me more interested in the effect of three-dimensional look.

And I try to appreciate the verses of the Qur'an, by applying to an art that can be placed in the appropriate place (above), because the Qur'an is a human guide. Hopefully with the art of Calligraphy of stakes that these religious nuances, can have more value not only artistic value but also can be understood for what it implies.

I am as human beings are still many shortcomings, criticisms and suggestions that we hope very productive. Wallaahu a'lam bisshowaab.
Wassalamualaikum Wr.Wb.
